The Walker School | Educational Lighting Solutions

The Walker School showcases what can be accomplished when the right team comes together. Ardd+Winter collaborated with the project’s designers and construction partners to provide lighting and controls solutions that elevate the learning environment and support the overall architectural vision.

This project was one of the first in the country to feature Focal Point’s SEEM 2 recessed luminaires with illuminated corners manufactured in a custom hexagonal pattern. Given the complexity of the design, Focal Point built and laid out the entire fixture pattern on the factory floor to ensure every component fit together perfectly and performed as intended before shipment.

As the lighting manufacturer’s representative on the project, we worked closely with the specification team, general contractor, electrical contractor, and distribution partners throughout the design and construction process. Our team provided product expertise, technical support, and project coordination to help bring this innovative lighting concept to life.

The installation presented a unique challenge that had never been executed prior to this project. Georgia Specialty Constructors delivered an exceptional installation of the custom hexagonal system, demonstrating the craftsmanship and attention to detail required to successfully execute such a distinctive design.
